Trying to run dota 2 on my mac but every time I do I end up with this error
scripts/game_sounds_manifest.txt
Anyone else getting the same problem??
here's what I sent to the Steam tec help and they responded by trying the troubleshooting questions/answers..which I did already.
I've been waiting for Dota 2 to come out for the mac and it's finally here!!
But, I can't play due to various errors.
Here is all the steps I have taken since I made my steam account.
1. Made steam account, no download for mac users.
2. Waited, Dota 2 came out for Mac, downloaded it.
3. Error about my OpenGL driver.
4. Downloaded Mountain Lion.
5. Error ' scripts/game_sounds_manifest.txt ' came up.
6. Checked verify integrity of game cache. All files validated ( it only checked 1 out 1 file )
7. Ran the -autoconfig and -safe commands. Didn't help.
8. Did a software check, realized i needed to update. So I did. (now at OS X 10.8.4 )
9. Went through all the checks ( verify, -safe, - autoconfig ) again
I still get the same error.

I try to close my steam but have to force quit every time because is says I'm still playing dota 2 and need to exit the game before doing so. However, I don't see anything for dota but my steam account with my game library. Which is only Dota2 and Dota2 Test.
My friends and Steam both say I am currently in the game.
